Shelf Reliance is an emergency preparedness and food store that we were lucky enough to find from a website and then later taste at a conference. Wow, the food was so much better than any other freeze dried food we had tasted before, and were even more excited about the quality of the food this company uses. Freeze drying is a process that keeps the food shelf stable while still preserving the maximum amount of flavor and nutrients! Much better than dehydrated in my own opinion. With dehydration you tend to lose some of the nutrients. When reconstituted they return to their natural state and I can tell you is completely delicious! Some of my favorites are the pineapple, peaches, bananas, pears, strawberries, broccoli, potatoes, peas, corn and cauliflower. There are others...but these are the ones I like because they are my favorite fruits and vegetables anyway and they taste just like them. The other great thing is that there are no preservatives added except for the entrees, and no added sugar, or salt. My kids actually eat this freeze-dried food and it doesn't go to waste. The food is good for 6 months-1 year after you open it depending on what it is and even better....they are now a direct sales company!!! This means that I can now introduce you to the food I've been buying for my food storage and home store.
